Call out for #Isolation Creations

For the past month, while uncertainty, grief and anxiety have done their darndest to dig in, we've been clinging tight to creativity.

Whether it's painted rainbows placed in windows or virtual backgrounds on Zoom, more of us are actively making time for everyday creativity.

Kudos then to The Courtyard and Feral Productions, two long-time makers of theatre and champions of culture in Hereford city, who've come together to start #IsolationCreations.

The online campaign calls on people to create things that reflect what life in Herefordshire is like right now. Could be poems or pictures, songs or short stories as long as they can be shared digitally.

In times of adversity art will out. We stole that line from the press release, and we like it.

Here are some of our favourite Isolation Creations that have been shared online so far. Search #IsolationCreations on social media to see more.

"Your artwork can take any form that can be digitised and shared by us online. It may be text, visual, still, moving, recorded… anything that’s possible to release on a website and/or social media platforms. We aim to use creative expression to air our concerns and to celebrate the positive. Your creation can come from anyone of any age and any walk of life. It must come from your experience of living in Herefordshire right now."
