2Faced Youth (2FY) is a prestigious dance training scheme based in Hereford for 10-19 year olds. It is an exciting opportunity to take the next step for passionate and dedicated young artists, providing many chances to perform on professional stages, work with guest choreographers and experience collaborative exchanges. 2FY trains weekly and is led by the company’s professional dancers, giving students a taste of life as an artist.
Graduates from 2FY have gone on to obtain places on degree courses at top dance schools such as The Place, Laban, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and the National School for Circus Arts. As well as becoming professional performers, our graduates have also followed creative careers such as choreographing, setting up own arts organisations, filmmaking, producing, teaching and music artistry.
Tamsin Fitzgerald, artistic director of 2Faced Dance, has commented:
“As we approach our 20th anniversary it’s clear to see the impact that being a part of 2FY has had on a multitude of young people over the last two decades.
"2FY provides young people not only with the opportunity to get excellent of dance training: a creative safe space to explore their ideas and passions, but opens up doorways of understanding and exposure to the arts world. We actively encourage, support and guide our dancers’ career aspirations within the creative arts industries.”
