The Eastern Cloisters Project at Hereford Cathedral is a new Heritage Lottery Fund project which aims to renovate the Eastern range of the Cloisters. To help run the programme, the Cathedral is looking to appoint a Research Intern on a six-month fixed-term contract.

The primary role of the Research Intern will be to conduct research about the Cloisters and Vicars Choral, facilitating the development of new activities, events, and interpretation. To be responsible for a group of new Research Volunteers, assisting them with their research into individual residents of the Cloisters.

Although the main focus of the intern is research, the role has been designed to include some flexibility in order to allow the successful candidate to create the portfolio of experience that they need for the next step in their career.
