This month's curator(s) is Ross Powell and the Into The Woods team.  Now in its third year, the boutique house festival is bringing Seb Zito to Hereford on Aug 17.

Ross is a DJ/minimal house producer and one half of events brand Discotek (est 2016). Ross has forthcoming music on labels such as WHOYOSTRO//MUSIC RELATED//GRAINY GROOVES and many more.

INTO THE WOODS

A single sacred date on the calendar year. Hundreds of party goers descend upon the wild forests of east Herefordshire for an annual ritual that is not to be missed. 15 hours of electronic dance music across 2 stages set within a surrounding of 50 foot poplar trees deep into a private woodland.

Expect an immersive musical awakening through the sounds of house, disco, techno and everything in between.

Kaleido

Kaleido is a minimal underground house party focusing on transforming spaces that haven’t been used before - booking friends from all over the country to come share their sound with Hereford.

Outdoor screening of Labryinth @ Queenswood

Venture through the trees at the beautiful Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum and prepare to journey into the Labyrinth in this classic Jim Henson 80s fantasy movie starring the late, great David Bowie.

BYO chairs/beanbags/picnics (although hot food will be available)

Nolan + the Kelly Myth

One of the 20th century's greatest contemporary artists had a thing for an Aussie outlaw. Ned Kelly - a folkhero cowboy of the Outback - appeared throughout Sidney Nolan's work, and throughout his life, right up to the self portrait he painted at his home in Presteigne 18 months before he died. 

You can view a selection of his most iconic Ned Kelly pieces now at the the gallery space next to his former home.

A Hereford institution, the three-day Barrels Beer fest has been raising money for charity for  more than 30 years. Bands, Rocket Cafe pizzas and more than 40 beers and ciders.

One of the county's big D'n'B names are throwing a free, open-air party at the skatepark to close out the summer. Plus, Jamaican food from Wah Gwan.

Hip-hop summer school @ The Core

Learn to throw down a mean six-step at this week-long summerschool for little breakers and free-runners ran by top UK b-boy Didge Ovel. It's for ages 5+ and kids will get to try all elements of hip-hop - from rapping to grafitti to music production - as well as breakdance and parkour.

CUP one day taster ceramics course

Have a go at this taster day to get you going in the world of ceramics. Have a go at throwing some clay around and making some gorgeous things to glaze, fire and take home with you - at a really cool venue on the edge of Hereford.
